Geen beukende house en techno, dat hoor je tijdens de botenparade al genoeg, maar een dag lang disco. En hoe: melodieuze, opzwepende en dansbare discostampers, in een niet te versmaden mix van vintage en modern, gedraaid door de hipste dj’s van de hedendaagse dance-scene. Van 1971 tot nu, van Chic en Sylvester in futuristische remixen tot de met stokoude samples doorspekte megahits van Daft Punk en Gigamesh. Discodansen totdat je schoenzolen versleten zijn, dat is HOMOMO:DISCOCO. RAVAGE! RAVAGE! Product van de jaren 80, synthesizer-omnivoor, grafisch vormgever en dj Maarten Nauw, alias Ravage! Ravage!, vult maandelijks de batcave van Paradiso met zijn feest Dark Allies. Denk Divines diva-italo, Siouxies goth-punk, Fad Gadgets dark-wave en hun postmoderne kinderen zoals Savages, Austra en Planningtorock. Hij draaide ook in Club Up, Melkweg en Canvas. Als dj is Kaseta resident van de Amsterdamse queer underground dance party Spellbound. Op het Homomonument zal hij op geheel eigen wijze het publiek trakteren op disco in de ruimste zin van het woord, van trashy Eurodance tot tacky italo en van Amanda Lear tot Glass Candy. www.kasetaonline.com | www.soundcloud.com/alex-kaseta ELJANY Overdag is Eljany Koppe webdesigner, ’s nachts ontpopt ze zich tot doldwaze discodiva. Jarenlang maakte ze de dansvloeren en backstages van de hoofdstedelijke nachtclubs onveilig, totdat Eljany besloot de dj-booth te betreden om zelf de muziek te draaien waar ze zo graag op danst. Dat leidde al snel tot gigs op festivals als Milkshake en LaLaLand en in clubs als Sugar Factory en Winston Kingdom. Inmiddels is ze resident-dj van het maandelijkse Sandwich in Club NYX. Reken op vakkundig gemixte electro en house, maar bovenal een driedubbeldikke dosis disco. www.facebook.com/djEljany | www.soundcloud.com/eljany LE FUMEUR Robin van Meurs alias Le Fumeur betrad het Amsterdamse nachtleven als bezoeker, werd al snel promotor voor hippe feestjes en kon de verleiding niet weerstaan om zelf in de dj-booth te kruipen. Hij draaide op festivals als Magneet en Milkshake, in clubs als Studio 80 en Trouw en recentelijk als support act van Hercules and Love Affair. Le Fumeur is resident-dj van het maandelijkse Sandwich in Club NYX en is bekend om de manier waarop hij zijdezachte disco en house versmelt met hardere electro- en tech-klanken tot een heerlijk dansbaar partypakketje. www.facebook.com/DJ.LeFumeur | www.soundcloud.com/lefumeur EDEL Geert-Jan Edelenbosch debuteerde ooit als dj in De Trut met rock en alternatieve muziek. Sindsdien specialiseerde hij zich in nu-disco, indie-dance, house en electro. EDEL is resident van het wekelijkse Blue in Club Church, draaide in Amsterdamse clubs als Paradiso, Club 8 en NYX en stond op feesten in binnen- en buitenland, van Nijmegen tot Maastricht en van Brussel tot Istanbul. Wel zijn ze 2CV, een dj-duo dat ontstond na spontane draaisessies in de huiskamer met ontelbare Pernod-cola’s. Ze ontdekten elkaars platencollecties en vonden hun muzikale synergie in een stijl die ze ‘Bruit 2CV’ doopten. De huiskamersessies ontwikkelden zich tot Club 2CV, verfrissend intieme feestjes die vooral draaien om muziek en mensen. 2CV draaide eerder in clubs variërend van OT301 en de Trut tot Club NYX en Paradiso. In luttele jaren bouwde hij een indrukwekkend cv op: gigs in de Chicago Social Club, Panama en NYX, festivals als ADE, Kingsday Festival en Amsterdam Open Air en buitenlandse optredens van Warschau en Parijs tot Bodrum en Ibiza. Hij is resident in Club AIR en organiseert zijn eigen tweemaandelijkse Blockparty. Als bewoner van de Westermarkt maakte hij de feesten op het Homomonument jarenlang van dichtbij mee, met Gay Pride bestijgt hij er nu zelf het podium. www.quinten909.com | www.facebook.com/quinten909 | www.soundcloud.com/quinten909 THE STRESS Diederick van den Ende alias The Stress draait alleen de lekkerste en nieuwste indietronic disco en alternatieve dance. In 2011 stichtte hij in Utrecht het Vossenfeest, een op het Franse discolabel Kitsuné geïnspireerde zondagmiddag. Dat werd een succes en zou onbedoeld het lanceerplatform blijken voor zijn dj-carrière. Sindsdien draaide hij in de beste clubs in binnen- en buitenland, van Paradiso Amsterdam en Tivoli Utrecht tot Le Dandy in Parijs en Razzmatazz in Barcelona. Drie miljoen hits op YouTube scoorden de nuchtere Nijmegenaren met hun remix van Love Lost van The Temper Trap. Sindsdien remixen ze Passion Pit, LCD Soundsystem en Two Door Cinema Club en worden ze gedraaid op 3FM, 538, BBC en MTV. De sound van Keljet is een zonnige mix van nu-disco, indie-dance, house en pop. Op het podium is de rolverdeling duidelijk: Teun is de dj, begeleid door Koen op gitaar. Ze hebben hun eigen platenlabel, Animal Language, maakten remixen van Moby, Mike Mago en Steve Aoki, en produceren eigen tracks die op hun beurt geremixt worden door Mighty Mouse, Beni en Kraak & Smaak en gedraaid worden door Surkin, Alex Metric en Digitalism. Als muziekproject doen ze het samen, als dj draait Iason solo. Hij vliegt de wereld rond van Seoul, Singapore en Sydney naar Quito, Rio en Londen, maar haalt ook zijn neus niet op voor De Trut, Flikker Freaky Friday of Club NYX. He is a resident at the weekly Blue parties at Club Church. After some spontaneous living room spinning sessions drowned in countless Pernod & cokes, they started 2CV. They discovered each other’s record collections and found their musical synergy: ‘Bruit 2CV’. The living room sessions expanded into their current Club 2CV parties, which are refreshingly intimate and all about music and meeting people. 2CV have played at venues ranging from OT301 and De Trut to Club NYX and Paradiso.
