Mayuka Yamamoto - I AM ALONE, BUT NOT LONELY

Saturday October 25th we open Mayuka Yamamoto’s third solo exhibition at the gallery. After shows in 2007 and 2009, we will now exhibit her most recent paintings and works in edition. In her paintings and impressive wood cuts the Japanese artist depicrts children with animal features. Although they seem sweet and cherishable, they are vulnerable and mysterious. In her most recent works Yamamoto shows great development – although thematically her works are similar she deploys an even more refined technique.
