Amsterdam Dance Event 2016 will officially kick off with what will become a memorable opening concert, at Melkweg: ADE veteran and dance icon Henrik Schwarz joins forces with the internationally renowned Metropole Orkest, for “Scripted Orkestra”. Both unparallelled in their masterly way of bending and crossing genres, the German producer/composer and the MO’s chief director Jules Buckley met up in a Berlin based coffeebar and there decided to melt their geniuses into a one hour lasting symbiosis, between electronic and orchestral music. It is not the first time at all that Schwarz takes up such a challenge, but his expectations are mile-high this time: “Jules has a full understanding of how an orchestra works, but also knows a lot about dance music, and where I come from”. We can hear once in a lifetime bells ring.
