In light of Amsterdam's Julidans festival, Supperclub Amsterdam presents 11 dinner nights filled with dance from July 4th until July 15th. curated by the creative talent Marc Van Loon, who will be carefully selecting dance performances. with help of visual artist Alan Boom, costume and make-up art by Jeroen Zellenrath and gorgeous performances by: Wies Berkhout, Elaine Gadet, Joana Schwing and Lorenzo Capodieci amongst others.
Marc believes that the concept of Supperclub reaches back to the
ritualistic origins of performance and food and at the same time provides a haven for non-funded performing arts. after a long international dance career, marc van loon decided to start using all he had seen, attended, crafted and sensed, in contemporary dance and art, towards the creation of event performances. he loves creating special moments at specific locations with dancing bodies, music, visuals and costumes. with this work he consciously moved outside the theaters together with the partners of his performance group trippin angels and as co-director of club event fremdkörper.
