The Hoxton, Amsterdam Formerly: Rembrandt Classic Hotel Amsterdam

A handsomely appointed 111-room hotel opened in 2015, nine years after its parent outlet, the Hoxton, Shoreditch, in east London. Fitted similarly with the brand's signature manly, comfy, modern-style rooms and furniture (including Chesterfield sofas), this Hoxton nevertheless has the feel of Amsterdam, especially with its canal views. The website specifies 'bedrooms' (rather than the industry-standard 'rooms'), the pick of which includes 'cosy', 'roomy' and 'biggy' options, a 'shoebox single' and a 'shoebox twin', and concept rooms. Located within the quaint and visually pleasing  shopping mecca De Negen Straatjes (The Nine Streets). Formerly the home of the mayor.
