de Struisvogel

No ratings yet
Cosy, candlelit and mostly organic

Popular, intimate and rather romantic 34-seat restaurant in an old house overlooking the Keizersgracht, located among über-quaint shopping mecca the Nine Streets. Prices are quaint too, especially considering that the dishes, marked by a certain French emphasis, feature mostly environmentally correct ingredients, some sourced locally. Wines also have nature's seal of approval. In 2023 a three-course meal costs €36 (€29 in 2019; €25 in 2013). Opened in 1989, with current owner Eva taking over in 2004. The name translates as 'The Ostrich'.
