A brilliantly located 252-room four-star hotel with mainstream comforts, positioned on a quiet street within instant reach of many things gay and/or buzzy. A Radisson from the start and opened in 1990, the hotel is divided between two buildings with 18th- and 19th-century histories; previous occupants include a paper factory and a vicarage, though the more modern touches surely dominate here.
