One of the centrpieces of Amsterdam's trendy/hipster NDSM area is this floating 175-room 3-star hotel, formerly used for river cruises. Prices are budget-friendly and the rooms are basic, but come with own bathroom and offer views of either the NDSM harbour or the IJ canal. Free use of bicycles. Opened 1993. Ferries to and from Amsterdam Central (a ten-minute sail) leave every 15 minutes.
