Pompadour

(3 Ratings)
Gays love cakes

Nestled among the already quaint Nine Streets shopping ghetto is this precious and decorative Amsterdam institution, opened in 1963 as a salon de thé and given a new lease of life — with the addition of classic French pastries and chocolates (using Valrhona) — in 1991. A Dutch/Belgian enterprise, Pompadour features a tiny shop area, linked by a few steps up to an inviting little tearoom.
