Café The Queen's Head

(53 Ratings)
Kitchy elegance in the Zeedijk

The unpretentious and straight-friendly gay bar opened in 1998 by drag queen Dusty and John, overseen since 2004 by Don, with partner Arjan going 50/50 in 2010. The place has a warm lushness, with plants, banquettes, and shades of maroon giving a cozy/classy boudoir feel, providing an appropriate backdrop to drag-compered bingo evenings every Tuesday (plus a proper drag show on Thursday). There's even a canal view out back.

Very nice bar

Specially the bingo tuesday from 10:00-1:00 is hot. The only weekly bingo presented by a tranvestite. Its theater, bingo and a big show! ( opinion of a local)

Just take it easy and relax

A great place to be for all kinds of gays. especially also if you want to taste the real "Amsterdam atmosphere" you should pay a visit. To my understandig one of the best, if not THE best, gay bars in the city
