Het Wapen van Londen Formerly: Gaiety

(3 Ratings)
Straight-gay bar with a history

A small and welcoming bar with an atypical gay history, previously known as Gaiety (1986–2003) and before that El Dorado, but reinvented in 2003 as Wapen van Londen by Cor Hoshang and his Czech partner, with the bar developing a following among not just gays but also Czech locals and visitors. Kurdish-Dutch-owned since 2011, with the Czech flavour intact but with slightly less of a gay thing going on. Possibly still popular with older men and their younger followers.
