Thermos Sauna (Closed Permanently)
Busy sauna with a history
Five floors of gay male steaminess and relaxation. Includes dry sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, swimming pool, bar (with wi-fi), restaurant (meats and salads, 5–8pm), cabins (35 or so), roof terrace, sun beds, slings and gym. Started in 1965, with the current owner taking over in 1997. Basically the Thermos had a monopoly of sorts until December 2013, when the NZ [see entry] arrived on the scene. Sauna Damrak closed in 2015
