Café Bordó (Closed Permanently)

No ratings yet
Central and cosy den mostly for women
A lesbian-run, laid-back and traditional Amsterdam-style café-bar with a clientele of about 80% women, located close to the Damrak and the Central Station. Torn between being a café and a bar, Bordó — a name chosen by owner Claudia for its easiness — is at its most clubby on Fridays, when DJs pump house and techno life into the basement dance scene, whereas Dutch pop, sad songs, customer requests and the like typify the playlist on other nights. Smoking allowed indoors. Opened 26 October 2012. Come May the four-day week expands to five, adding Tuesday to the pleasure rota.

Hours
Wed and Thu 4pm—1am
Fri and Sat 4pm—3am (Tue 4pm—1am in summer)
