Hotel Motel One Amsterdam-Waterlooplein

One of only two Motel One outlets in Amsterdam (as of 2023), and this is the more gay-central. Europe-wide Motel Ones are relatively inexpensive, with a corporate-stylish thing gong on — a bit like IKEA but with even less warmth, though the overall package is terrifically reliable and offers something of a bargain. The "upcycling" design concept of this ???-room hotel tales its inspiration from the nearby Waterlooplein Platz and its popular flea market. No smoking, no phones in the rooms and no workout area. Opened December 2017.
