De Koffie Salon (Centrum)

No ratings yet
Could this be Amsterdam's answer to Starbucks?

21st-century modern-style coffee enterprise started at this location, with a few other branches or kiosks across the city. The atmosphere is convincingly warm and inviting and gives a sense of belonging to those at home reading newspapers and fiddling online at one of the three long tables out back, with recognisable coffee-house-friendly pop oldies augmenting the experience. The coffee is not as artisan-tasting as at other more independent establishments, but it does the trick. Other branches: Oud-West (Huygensstraat 82) and Spui (Spuistraat 281).
