Dirty Dicks

Amsterdam's leather scene is not what it was, but the Warmoesstraat's duo of like-minded bars – Eagle and Dirty Dicks – just about hold their own despite competiton from online pursuits, generational shifts in approaches to looking for sex and other factors. Establshed in 1974 and later run by the same man, Paul Wierks (1949–2010), who oversaw the Eagle, the low-ceilinged Dirty Dicks retains its sleazy charm and commitment to red-lit or zero-lit pursuits, reminiscent of za old days. The spirit of the darkroom can be found at the rear of the bar and up the near-vertical stairs to an anything-goes zone. Attracts leather, rubber, dirty denim and beyond. Includes naked, piss-specific, fuck-specific and fisting sessions; check website for Sunday late afternoon/early evening specialist slots. Current owner Michael, since 2011, also runs the neighbouring Eagle, just as Paul did before him.
